Job Title: Pharmacy Support Professional
The role of a pharmacy support professional is multifaceted, encompassing various responsibilities that contribute to the efficient operation of a pharmacy.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately receiving, recording, and assembling prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Providing customers with guidance on medications and over-the-counter products in a professional and empathetic manner, referring complex inquiries to the pharmacist as necessary.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant schemes, adhering to pharmacy procedures.
- Managing stock levels, anticipating shortages, communicating with team members, placing orders with wholesalers, verifying receipts, and maintaining stock rotation to prevent outdated medicines from expiring.
- Identifying and reporting any errors or safety concerns to the supervising pharmacist.
Requirements:
- Completion of an IPU Pharmacy Technician course or equivalent, or several years of experience in a dispensary setting.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, enabling effective task management and prioritization.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating collaboration with the pharmacy team, customers, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks, ensuring seamless workflow and meeting deadlines.
