Key Responsibilities:

* Participate actively in ward rounds, clinics, and multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure effective and coordinated patient management.

* Perform diagnostic investigations and interpret results, developing timely and appropriate treatment plans.

* Mentor and supervise junior medical staff, including interns and residents, while fostering a supportive learning environment.

* Engage in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.

* Contribute to the education of medical students and junior doctors through lectures, tutorials, and hands-on training.

* Participate in on-call duties as required as part of the registrar rota.

Qualifications:

* Medical degree (MB BCh BAO or equivalent) and registration with the Medical Council of Ireland.

* Previous experience in internal medicine or a relevant specialty is preferred.

* Irish/UK experience desirable.
