The Team and the opportunity
As part of our Data Analytics and AI team, the Data Solution Architect role is pivotal in enabling our clients to derive significant value from their information assets. Through collaboration and domain expertise, the team embeds innovative data analytics solutions into existing business areas, transforming data into strategic assets.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Lead diverse teams with varying skillsets and data/analytics technologies.
* Adapt leadership style to fit team, client, and cultural needs; anticipate and identify risks and escalation.
* Create a positive learning culture; coach and counsel junior members.
* Lead the design and implementation of data artefacts, including data modelling, data integration, data storage, and data governance.
* Hands‑on experience on data modelling techniques to create Enterprise Data Models.
* Implement data management concepts (Metadata Management, Data Quality, Data Testing).
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and architectural designs.
* Conduct assessment of existing data architectures, recommend remediation plans to optimise data management processes and systems.
* Develop data migration strategies and oversee execution.
* Act as a trusted advisor to clients on data architecture, governance, quality and security.
* Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and industry standards.
Qualifications
* Minimum 7 years of experience in data analysis and strategy, proven track record of creating impactful visual stories from complex datasets.
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
* Expertise in data modelling and database designs (ER models, dimensional models, data vaults, hierarchy/network models).
* Extensive experience in developing code for SQL and NoSQL databases, proficiency across various platforms on‑prem and in cloud.
* Knowledge of big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, cloud services).
* Understanding of data quality principles and practices, data profiling, cleansing, and validation techniques.
* Ability to create comprehensive documentation for data models, processes, and governance frameworks.
* Experience in modelling and handling real‑time data streams (Kafka, Flink, etc.).
* Experience designing and implementing data governance frameworks.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to understand complex business requirements and design innovative data solutions.
* Excellent client‑facing skills; ability to build rapport, communicate effectively, and manage relationships at various levels.
* Strong leadership abilities; lead and mentor a team of consultants and drive project outcomes.
