Managing Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager Location: Dublin/ South Dublin Salary: €100k-€125k + Benefits One of Irelands Leading Main Contractors is currently recruiting for a Managing Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager to work on prestigious projects throughout Dublin and Ireland.
Reporting to Directors, this is a key role within the organisation with substantial opportunity for growth.
Responsibilities Manage and oversee the Commercial performance of large scale projects.
Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects from inception through to completion.
Undertake feasibility studies and risk assessments to ensure financial viability.
Monitor project costs against budgets and provide regular financial reports to stakeholders.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and safety standards in all project activities.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior quantity surveyors and other team members.
Maintain relationships with clients to establish a strong foundation for repeat business.
Assess and mitigate risks associated with variations and claims on projects.
Prepare final accounts and assist with the project handover process.
Criteria Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply financial data accurately.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Quantity Surveying role Proven track record in managing large-scale projects and teams effectively.
