Cheque Allocation & Claims Administrator

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Process, allocate, and reconcile all six insurance cheques for the month to be completed for month-end.
2. Reconcile underpays, overpays, and part-pay accounts.
3. Process, collate, and submit an average of 800 Sports Medicine claim forms per month, ensuring all sections are filled out adequately and signed by the patient.
4. Match and cross-check that all details on hospital invoices and professional invoices match.
5. Match and cross-check that all medical details on side 1 and side 2 of the claim form match.
6. Ensure timely submission of bi-monthly and monthly completed claims.
7. Liaise with various departments to resolve queries.
8. Communicate with patients to verify relevant information, resolve queries, and obtain missing information for submissions.
9. Review claim submissions and verify the information.
10. Follow up on outstanding claim forms, including missing and unsigned forms.
11. Ensure claims are billed correctly and rebill when necessary.
12. Liaise with relevant departments and billing companies regarding outstanding paperwork.
13. Provide cover on the credit control team as requested.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. At least 3 years of finance experience is essential; high-volume cheque allocation experience is an advantage.
2. Proficient in MS Office and Excel.
3. Working knowledge of a finance system.
4. High attention to detail is essential.
5. Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills.
6. Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines.
7. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
