Job Description Position: Food Production Team Member This is an opportunity to join a longstanding, respected specialty Irish, family owned and run food company, crafting cheese in Co. Tipperary, since 1984 Location of Work: Cashel Farmhouse Cheesemakers, Beechmount, Fethard, Co. Tipperary, E91 Fk84, 10 miles from the town of Cashel. Hours of work: 7am till 3pm typical hours of work Monday to Thursday, Friday early finish. 6.30am till 11.30am weekends. Note our hours of cheesemaking and preparation, have been geared to work around school hours. Team members have also found these hours can work very well around past-times including part-time farming. Working Week: Up to 6 days Full time position: up to 39 hours per week, and overtime at busy times. Job responsibilities and requirements: Divided principally into 2 areas from the cheesemaking room to the cutting, wrapping and warehousing areas. Area 1 Working in cut/pack and warehouse/dispatch area as part of a team of 8: Working on packing lines, wrapping, cutting, metal detecting, labelling and palletisation of product. Completion of Quality Management System working documents and adherence to HACCP systems Set up and running of packing/cutting equipment Ability to consistently handle weights up to 20kg General Cleaning of area and handling of cleaning agents Area 2 Working in Cheesemaking area as part of a team of 5: Assistant to cheesemaking, stirring vats, salting cheese, cleaning at weekends Ability to consistently handle weights up to 20kg Completion of working documents and adherence to HACCP systems Handling of Cleaning agents Versatility is very important in this position, there may also be a requirement from time to time to assist in the upkeep of the grounds and general area surrounding the premises, we all like to take pride in the environment we work in. Also at quiet times, this is a great way to keep your hours consistent. Pay: Pay: Negotiable, depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
