They operate globally, rely heavily on AWS, and are known for combining strong engineering standards with a practical, down-to-earth culture.What you'll doRun and enhance multi-region AWS EKS environments, ensuring workloads stay available, observable, and well-behaved.Build and deploy containerised applications, including Helm charts, pipelines, and IaC with Terraform.Improve monitoring, logging, and alerting using tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, and Splunk.Lead technical initiatives, collaborating with engineering and risk teams while nudging everything towards automation.What you needDeep production experience with AWS and Kubernetes (EKS), plus comfort operating large cross-account setups.Strong CI/CD skills with Jenkins and Git, along with solid UNIX and scripting experience.Hands-on knowledge of monitoring/alerting stacks and container tooling including Docker.Familiarity with Kafka/Confluent, infrastructure-as-code, and building resilient multi-region systems.The practical bitsSalary: up to €75,000 plus a 15% bonus.Location: hybrid, with roughly 25% onsite.Work setup: collaborative engineering environment with plenty of autonomy.Visa: Stamp 4 or EU passport only.You need to live within 90 minutes commute of Galway.
