Where could you work:
As a Graduate Structural Engineer, you'll enjoy variety, working on large and small projects with the opportunity to explore different career pathways, including consulting and design.
Help us reimagine our places and spaces, from transport hubs to university campuses, industrial facilities, and critical flood defence schemes - we touch every aspect of social and economic environments.
Your role
As a graduate structural engineer within our team, you could be involved in:
Working within multi-disciplinary teams to develop and deliver designs of buildings and infrastructure.
Your deliverables will include technical and carbon calculations, reports, whole life cycle assessments, drawings, models and presentations.
Your creative input will be sought from day one into all project stages from concept design through to detailed design.
Representing AtkinsRéalis when undertaking structural inspections on site and presenting at client and design team meetings.
Assisting project managers with design leadership and day-to-day management of project programmes, budgeting and stakeholder coordination.
Providing engineering support during the construction stage by reviewing drawings for conformance with design and specification and observing construction procedures under the guidance of experienced senior engineers.
Researching and analysing alternative design approaches to develop sustainability led solutions.
Develop your own specialist skills to enhance the breadth and depth of the service we offer to our clients.

Minimum Level 8 degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
A passion for working in a consultancy environment.

Motivation to achieve professional accreditation (where applicable).

Commitment to spend a minimum of three days a week in the office or on client site (project dependent).
