A major construction firm is seeking a Design Coordinator to join its building team for an exciting new educational build project in Limerick.
This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in managing and coordinating the design process from concept through construction on a high-profile Department of Education project.
Responsibilities Actively engage with the Design & Build (D+B) design team and stakeholders in a structured, process-driven manner.
Manage and issue MTS (Minimum Technical Submissions) to the client and associated technical bodies.
Ensure compliance of all submissions with relevant government requirements and contract documentation.
Oversee the design teams submissions via Autodesk Construction Cloud Verify subcontractor and supplier submissions include current documentation Track and complete the design-related sections of the bi-weekly Contractors Progress Reports Lead the flow of technical information across design, engineering, and construction teams.
Review and manage the design process for faade systems curtain walling, glazing, cladding, brickwork, etc.
from concept to installation.
Collaborate with architects and the client to agree on mock-ups, samples, and materials.
Ensure design activities are compliant with Irish Building Regulations, BCAR, and relevant faade and safety standards.
Candidate Requirements Degree qualified in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction-related field.
5+ years experience in a design coordination or senior engineering role on medium to large projects.
Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or similar design management platforms.
Prior experience on educational or large commercial projects desirable.
