The role
Successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Consultant Psychiatrist as part of a multidisciplinary team, in the General Adult setting in Highfield Healthcare. Services are incorporating inpatient, day hospital, home base treatment and outpatients’ care.
Eligibility Criteria
MB, Bch essential
General Registration with Irish Medical Council essential
X2 written satisfactory references – essential
BLS - desirable
Relevant experience in a mental health setting- desirable
Adaptability to changes in healthcare
Ability to work well within team environment
Excellent organisation and time management skills
Demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development
Other Requirements
To promote patient care by liaising with all departments
Ensure appropriate and timely communication as required with Admissions Staff, Ward Manager and staff, and consultant in charge of patient
To participate in any in-service training as required such as CPR, Health and Safety, fire training etc.
To provide in-service training to staff where requested and appropriate.
Ensure on-going continuous professional development by reading current medical and psychiatric journals and on-going professional training.
Empathising with patients, their family and friends and adopt a customer-focused approach at all times.
