Key Role:
The IT Airport Engineer position is responsible for maintaining continuity of service for all airport passenger processing system components. The role requires resolving complex technical issues, including those requiring specialist knowledge.
Main Responsibilities:
* Install, troubleshoot, and repair desktops, laptops, and peripherals to ensure optimal functionality.
* Carry out routine and preventative maintenance on passenger processing equipment to prevent downtime and ensure efficiency.
* Supply and replace IT consumables as needed to maintain a fully operational environment.
* Troubleshoot within Windows / iOS / Android OS support, software installations, and security updates to resolve technical issues promptly.
* Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues (LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi) to ensure seamless communication between systems.
* Respond to customer incidents and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
* Maintain high-level communication with colleagues and senior staff to ensure effective collaboration and problem-solving.
* Provide regular updates to the Global Service Desk to keep stakeholders informed.
* Conduct regular floor-walking and pro-active line of sight checks to identify potential issues before they arise.
* Mentor and train Airport Technicians to develop their skills and expertise.
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in an IT support role, preferably in a similar airport-based environment.
* Languages: Fluent English language skills are essential.
* Technical Skills: Strong computer knowledge, operating system understanding, Microsoft Desktop software proficiency, Network Architecture knowledge, IT hardware connectivity expertise, and IMAC experience.
* Certifications: CompTIA A+ certification is required; ITIL knowledge is advantageous.
* Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00 or 10:00 - 18:00
