Maintenance Specialist Wanted
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist who is comfortable with mechanical and electrical issues. If you thrive in a fast-paced production environment, enjoy keeping equipment running smoothly, and value teamwork, then this role may be for you.
A day in the life of a Maintenance Specialist involves tackling planned preventative maintenance without breaking a sweat. You will also solve mechanical and electrical hiccups solo or as part of the team, keep your tools (and your workspace) clean, sharp, and ready, assist with control room meetings, share your insights, and support colleagues.
You will handle parts and stores procedures like a seasoned professional, deal with contractors when needed, and adhere to health, safety, and food safety protocols. Additionally, you will utilize your technical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment in manufacturing settings.
To excel in this role, you will need:
* A technical diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
* Completed an apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical trades? Even better.
* Real-world experience maintaining equipment in production or industrial settings.
* Skills in fault-finding and repair across electrical and mechanical systems.
Bonus points if you also have certifications like Working at Height, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, or a forklift license, experience using CMMS, knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and automation systems, and the ability to read technical drawings like they're a breeze.
