Job Description
Reporting to the Senior Data Manager, the Data Analyst will support the Senior Management Team by delivering analytical and reporting needs. The role will involve the day to day analysis and production of a wide range of insightful management information reporting from multiple data sources. The role will also be responsible for providing advice on and implementing day-to-day data analytics improvements designed to enable the Bank to achieve our strategic objectives. Your focus will be to enable the delivery of a portfolio of strategic, compliance and operational analytics. You will help solve business problems by improving data quality, data flows and reports delivered to key stakeholders. You will deliver initiatives which build new data management structures and frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
* Data Management
Partner with business functions to identify opportunities, resolve issues, and gather suggestions to improve data storage, processing, and usage.
* Daily ETL Support
Monitor job runs, investigate error reports, resolve common issues, and escalate tickets to the 3rd line team when necessary.
* BI and Ad Hoc Reporting Support
Extract and manipulate data to create presentable reports and insightful analysis. Write SQL scripts to query databases and deliver requested data.
* Point of Contact for Business
Coordinate and fulfil data requests, resolve data issues, manage data quality (DQ), and maintain documentation.
* Change Management
Analyse system changes and their impact on data, reports, and reporting systems. Promote efficiency by challenging and removing non-value-adding processes or reports.
* Project Management
Ensure continuity of business-as-usual (BAU) reporting and support the delivery of projects.
* IT and Technical Support for BI Applications
Provide initial triage and proactively coordinate the resolution of problem tickets.
Experience & Requirements
- Education
Educated to degree level in Computer Science or a similar discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Data Analytics Expertise
3+ years of experience in data analytics, ideally within a financial services environment.
- Data & BI Experience
Skilled in data analysis, data management, and business intelligence, including the use of analytical tools.
- SQL Proficiency
Strong SQL skills, including querying databases, manipulating data, and blending datasets.
- SAP BI Tools
Familiarity with SAP BI tools.
- Database Knowledge
Advanced understanding of database concepts and design.
- Regulatory Reporting
Experience with regulatory reporting frameworks.
- Problem Solving & Prioritisation
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Communication Skills
Able to translate complex technical information for non-technical stakeholders. Experienced in liaising with internal and external customers to ensure timely delivery of quality data and analysis.

- Terms & Conditions:
This is a permanent full-time position. The successful candidate will be expected to work a minimum of 2 days a week on site at the Liffey Valley Office. Compliance with all relevant internal policies and procedures and adherence to the Volkswagen Financial Services Code of Conduct is mandatory.
