Position Summary:
The Clinical Psychologist will be responsible for providing psychological assessments and crisis intervention services to young people in our residential homes.
Responsibilities of the Role
* Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of young people, including intellectual, emotional, and behavioural functioning.
* Develop and implement individualised child-centred plans based on assessment findings.
* Provide crisis intervention services to our young people and teams of staff as needed.
* Collaborate on a multi-disciplinary level to ensure coordinated and effective care.
* Engage in collaborative goal setting and case formulation.
* Engage with young people in compassionate and professional manner.
* Maintain quality standards within the service and participate in quality development.
* Work with home managers on placement planning
* To participate in policy review at a senior level
* To participate in regular clinical supervision
* To participate in service development initiatives
Essential criteria:
* Post graduate qualification in Clinical Counselling or Educational Psychology recognized by the Psychological Society of Ireland.
* Professional experience working with young people.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent therapeutic planning and clinical assessment skills.
* Experience in psychological assessments and therapeutic modules.
* Experience in delivering psychological interventions to young people.
* Clean driving licence and access to a car.
