My Dublin based client is recruiting for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer for a 6-month contract to support a critical systems go-live and stabilisation phase. The role will focus on ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of core IT infrastructure within a newly deployed environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide hands‑on infrastructure support during go‑live and early‑life stabilisation.
Manage and support Microsoft environments, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and Azure AD.
Oversee endpoint management, including device provisioning, patching, and software deployment using SCCM, Intune, and AutoPatch.
Act as an escalation point for technical incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption.
Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities in collaboration with security teams.
Maintain accurate documentation of infrastructure, incidents, and changes.
Collaborate with internal teams and third‑party vendors to resolve complex issues.
Support business continuity and disaster recovery activities.
Automate routine tasks and operational processes using PowerShell.
Contribute to incident response and continuous improvement of the security posture.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience across Microsoft infrastructure (Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure AD).
Proven track record in endpoint management, patching, and compliance (SCCM, Intune).
Experience supporting secure environments, including vulnerability remediation and incident response.
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills in fast‑paced environments.
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Experience in large‑scale or newly deployed environments is advantageous.
Advanced PowerShell scripting skills.
Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Defender, Qualys, or similar.
Qualifications
5+ years’ experience in infrastructure engineering or IT operations.
Degree or equivalent in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
Relevant Microsoft or security certifications are beneficial.
