Scope of Work
The HR Business Partner has responsibility for managing operational and strategic HR activities across operations and support functions, partnering closely with leadership to deliver best‑in‑class people solutions.
The HRBP will work collaboratively with the wider HR team to drive HR initiatives, change programs, and ensure consistent implementation of policies and procedures across the Waterford site.
Duties
Act as a strategic HR Business Partner to designated Business Units, contributing to and shaping Business Unit plans and the execution of organisational strategy
Develop relationships with senior leaders and managers, influencing decision‑making in a complex, highly regulated environment
Ensure HR policies, procedures and practices are fully compliant with legislation.
Provide expert guidance on Employee Relations (ER) matters, including investigations, disciplinary and grievance processes
Lead and embed people‑focused strategic initiatives that support site and organisational goals
Support and drive succession planning and internal mobility across designated teams.
Support and lead change management initiatives within a complex, fast‑paced manufacturing environment
Reward and Recognition
Support and deliver the salary planning and annual review cycle
Contribute to preparation of the BU Operating Plan, HR budget, and headcount planning
Champion and enhance employee recognition programmes, ensuring employees feel valued and acknowledged
Culture, Engagement & CSR
Support and promote Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, including community, sustainability, and employee‑led programmes
Drive employee engagement activities and site‑wide initiatives, contributing to a positive and inclusive workplace culture
Partner with leadership to embed wellbeing, inclusion, and engagement strategies across the site
Play an active role in fostering a collaborative, high‑performing and people‑centric environment
Requirements
Degree qualified in Human Resources, Business or equivalent
8+ years’ HR experience, ideally within life sciences, or regulated manufacturing environments
Strong background in Industrial Relations (IR) and Employee Relations (ER), including union engagement as an advantage.
Demonstrated ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels
Strong communication and stakeholder influencing skills across all organisational levels
Solid understanding of Irish employment law and HR best practices
