Grocery Assistant Store Manager
We are recruiting for an award winning supermarket and convenience store group.
The role is for an Assistant Store Manager in a busy, successful supermarket store.
Requirements
Previous management experience is essential within a grocery retail setting.
Strong team leading skills.
Be able to work in both a team and on their own initiative.
Have a strong understanding of the local market, consumer behaviour and emerging trends in the store industry.
Have strong communication skills.
Be able to multi task.
Knowledge of store budgets such as staff wages or waste, and some financials of the store.
Responsibilities
Support the store manager in leading and managing the team, which involves training and onboarding new staff, scheduling and coordinating work shifts, and providing work performance feedback.
Open and close the store, cash handling, inventory management and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Support staff in training and development.
Support staff in reaching store targets.
