About the role
We're looking for a Product/Games Analyst to help us understand the games market and identify developers and titles that would thrive on our platform. This role blends market research, analytical thinking, and an excellent understanding of game design. You'll evaluate potential games, assess their developers, and provide actionable insights on opportunities, risks, and improvements. Your work will directly fuel our outreach pipeline, ensuring our Developer Relations team connects with the right potential partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Research the games market to spot emerging trends, genres, and standout titles.
* Analyse developers and their track record to evaluate fit with our publishing strategy.
* Assess game performance metrics (player engagement, monetisation, retention, etc.) to gauge potential.
* Conduct in-depth game teardowns to understand mechanics, design strengths, and weaknesses.
* Identify opportunities for improvement and growth in games that could benefit from our platform.
* Summarise insights into clear reports and recommendations for internal teams.
* Collaborate closely with the Developer Relations Manager to feed high-potential games and developers into the outreach pipeline.
Requirements
* 3–5+ years of experience in games analysis, product analysis, market research, or related fields.
* A passionate gamer who understands the community and how to find the hidden gems.
* Strong knowledge of the video games industry and current trends across genres and platforms.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data and qualitative insights into clear recommendations.
* Experience conducting detailed game evaluations, including mechanics, systems, and player experience.
* Strong understanding of the social side of modern games and how this can be leveraged for deeper engagement within our platform.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to distill complex findings into actionable insights.
* Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a passion for discovering great games and developers.
Nice to Have
* Prior experience in publishing, product management, or game design.
* Familiarity with developer tools, analytics platforms, and market research methodologies.
Remote Working Conditions
This is a remote-first position, allowing employees to work from anywhere with a reliable internet connection, a suitable home-working setup and within +/- 3 hours GMT timezone. We place a strong emphasis on individual responsibility to manage time and work, enabling employees to accommodate their personal life requirements.
Occasional travel may be required for team meetings, industry events, or visits to game development studios. Some flexibility in working hours may be necessary to accommodate meetings with international partners or developers in different time zones.
