We drive digital transformation by integrating world-leading process and energy technologies, end-point to cloud connecting products, controls, software and services, across the entire lifecycle, enabling integrated company management, for homes, buildings, data centers, infrastructure, and industries.Key ResponsibilitiesAs part of our Electrical Apprenticeship, you’ll get to study towards and achieve an Electrical qualification.This will give you a broad appreciation of engineering principles and applications.You will be ready to embark on a series of placements working alongside our expert engineering teams, while making a real contribution to an advanced engineering & technology business.You will gain and apply practical and technical knowledge in a range of different subjects and department areas allowing you to develop personal skills while interacting with people from all parts of the business.TrainingDuring your apprenticeship, you will receive two different types of training. On-the-job training will be delivered by Schneider Electric, as your employer. You’ll receive training and supervision to help you perform the job you’ve been hired to do. This will include skills and knowledge that fall outside of the apprenticeship but are needed for the job role. As well as providing on-the-job training, it is important that we support you in additional ways to ensure your success.Types of support will include:A comprehensive inductionMentoring or regular one-to-one guidanceSocial enrichment and networking opportunitiesPerformance reviewsMental health and wellbeing supportFeedback opportunitiesOff-the-job training is delivered by one of our carefully selected Training Providers during your normal working hours. You will spend at least 20% (average 6 hours per week) of your working hours completing off-the-job training. This is protected time and is a requirement for apprenticeship delivery. This training will teach you the knowledge, skills, and behaviours set out in the apprenticeship standard so you can achieve occupational competence.Work Pattern3 eight-hour days per week to be worked from Monday to Friday. Exact start and finish times are to be agreed with Line Manager. Some of these hours will be allocated to off-the-job training as part of your Apprenticeship Programme.Skills and AttributesEssentialHold a Full Ireland Driving LicenseDemonstrable interest in electrical engineeringAbility to work efficiently and accuratelyThe ability to work as a team member and possess good interpersonal, communication, and literacy skills.Highly motivated, a desire to learn, and a good record of attendance.High level of flexibility and dependabilityEducationGrade D in five subjects in the Department of Education & Skills Junior Certificate Examination or an approved equivalentPrevious Experience RequiredNo pre-requisite experience required but a demonstrable interest in engineering through school or hobby interests.Visa SponsorshipPlease note that we are unfortunately unable to provide visa sponsorship for our apprenticeship positions.
