We are launching a new state-of-the-art technology facility in Dublin, Ireland. This Dublin-based team will be central to our digital transformation and serve as a center of excellence for SiriusXM’s global Product and Technology organization.
The Dublin facility will focus on software development, automotive technology, engineering, AdTech, data science, and analytics. The team will develop and implement high-quality, scalable software standards for SiriusXM’s streaming and in-vehicle audio platforms.
We are seeking a SW Test Developer responsible for test cases and issue fixing within the SXM test framework. This is a test automation/SW developer role.
How you will make an impact:
As part of SiriusXM’s software test team, you will join SDET (Software Development Engineers in Test) and Test Engineers to test SiriusXM software and products, including in-vehicle infotainment systems and aftermarket SiriusXM products.
The Senior Software Test Engineer will design, implement, and execute test procedures to ensure software functions as intended. You will collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and program managers.
What you’ll do:
* Work with software engineers and stakeholders to understand product features and requirements
* Develop automated and manual test cases
* Collaborate with development teams to ensure quality of components and systems
* Maintain and execute test cases, ensuring system quality and stability
* Create testing metrics, analysis, and reports for management
* Develop and enhance test plans, scripts, traceability matrices, and methodologies to ensure comprehensive testing
* Create test scenarios to anticipate potential software issues
What you’ll need:
* BSc in Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent; MSc preferred
* 3-6+ years experience in Test Development and Environments
* Experience in Consumer or Automotive Software development and frameworks
* Experience with test automation and tools
* Understanding of SDLC and at least one programming language
Skills and Attributes:
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to work independently and in teams
* Customer service orientation
* Multitasking in fast-paced environments
* Attention to detail and organization
* Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming
* Experience with automation frameworks and test scripting
* Strong troubleshooting skills across full tech stack
Technical Skills:
* 3-5 years in C/C++, with specific knowledge of C++11
* Understanding of test fundamentals, SDLC, and defect tracking tools
* Experience with Git and satellite module testing
* Experience with SiriusXM test automation and code coverage tools is a plus
