one of the leading company in Ireland is looking for applications from Doctors with a strong interest and experience in
Paediatrics
to apply for a
Registrar
level position in a Public Teaching Hospital in the West of Ireland .
Working with an award winning Paediatrician, you will have access to an educational programme of lectures, demonstrations, literature reviews, multidisciplinary case conferences, seminars, study days etc, capable of covering the theoretical and scientific background to the speciality.
The post will offer the successful Doctor the opportunity to gain further experience in their area of interest. Sub specialist experience is available in the areas of general paediatric, emergency paediatrics, neonatology, community paediatrics and there is also some opportunity to work in the Child and Adolescent Sexual Assault Treatment Unit.
The Registrar in
General Paediatrics
must be competent in the prevention, diagnosis and management of a wide range of diseases and in hospital based interventional procedures. Above all the Paediatric Registrar should have the competencies to deal with acute presentation of illness. These competencies must relate to all aspects of Paediatrics including the special needs in both treatment and immediate care of the neonate.
Essential Requirements:
1-All doctors should have completed their specialist training in a country of the EU, specialist title recognized in one of these countries. All candidates that have finished their BMQ in a EU country ( alidated this title in a EU country) and have been at least 3 years practicing in the chosen speciality in a EU country can be considered for a post as a registrar in Ireland.
2. The candidates will have to register with the IMC (Irish Medical Council) at least in the General Register for Registrar posts (if they haven't done so yet). Assistance will be granted to do this and we will help you all the way through. Please take into account that the registration process typically takes up to 5 months since doctors start the paper work so it will be advisable to start ASAP as doctors can't take up a job place till they are registered.
3.The level of English requested is very high (equivalent at least to a B2 level). It is mandatory to pass the ielts OR OET EXAM
5.IMC registration or in the process of registering with IMC.
6. 5+ years of relevant experience
- Approximate net monthly salary of ****€ net/month after tax and pension deductions for Registrar positions.
