Key Roles and Responsibilities
You will play a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth operation of data center facilities. This entails collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to design, plan, and execute commissioning projects for large facility projects.
Commissioning Project Engineer Key Accountabilities:
* Act as a commissioning agent for Mechanical systems, including cooling/heating systems, plumbing, fire, fuel oil, and BMS systems.
* Manage projects, plans, provide and gather specifications, and execute assignments in a multidisciplinary engineering Commissioning role.
* Review design criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and other documentation pertinent to commissioning.
* Develop site-specific commission plans and factory witness test procedures for major equipment.
* Attend factory witness tests and provide detailed reports identifying deficiencies.
* Schedule and lead commissioning meetings while ensuring proper documentation.
* Develop and administer functional tests for various building Mechanical systems.
* Maintain commissioning logs, equipment checklist, and other tools to track commissioning projects.
* Write comprehensive final commissioning reports and assist in leading and managing external resources.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent military or industrial training with 3+ years of experience in mechanical/controls engineering, energy services, plant operations, or related field or Construction Management.
* Previous Data Center/Mission critical experience and knowledge of major regulations, industry codes, and standards.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work with general contractors.
