As a Biopharma Production Specialist (m/f/x) at Avantor, you will be responsible for generating growth opportunities mainly in Denmark and Iceland with our existing and new customers.
The role of the Biopharma Production Specialist (BPS) is to create sustainable and profitable partnerships with customers in the biopharmaceutical industry. The BPS is responsible for sales to customers in the assigned territory, positioning the BU as the primary supplier to biopharmaceutical customers engaged in mammalian and microbial‑based manufacture, Vaccines, Cell & Gene Therapy, and Peptides. The BPS has a good understanding of the market, understands the needs/challenges of our customers, and uses our company portfolio of Biopharma products and services to deliver meaningful solutions.
It is imperative that you are a ‘go‑getter’ who values the return on investment gained by developing key stakeholder relationships – driving for increased profitability of our BioPharma business.
Location: Remote‑based within the Nordics (preferably Denmark)Territory: Nordics (mainly Denmark/ Iceland)Department: Commercial / SalesReports to: Regional Sales Manager – Northern Europe
What we’re looking for:

BSc/BA degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, Chemical/Genetic Engineering, or other life sciences related degree
At least 3 years sales experience within the biopharmaceutical manufacturing or related life sciences industry
Strong understanding of bioprocessing and drug formulation workflows
Familiarity with GMP, regulatory requirements, and quality standards for excipients and single‑use systems
Proven track record in achieving sales targets
Good knowledge of office applications (mainly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
Ability to recognize the need for change and employ appropriate strategies to facilitate change
Ability to be flexible in a fast‑changing environment and work well under pressure
Self‑motivated team player and able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
Full driver’s licence
Fluent in English; proficiency in a Nordic language (Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, or Finnish) is a strong advantage
Willingness to travel extensively across the Nordic region

How you will thrive and create an impact:

Develop and execute a territory sales strategy to grow market share across the Nordics
Promote a portfolio of single‑use systems (e.g., bags, tubing, connectors, pumps) and chemicals/excipients used in biopharmaceutical manufacturing and formulation
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including scientists, engineers, procurement teams, and senior management
Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and training sessions tailored to customer needs
Collaborate with internal teams (technical support, marketing, regulatory) to deliver customized solutions and ensure customer satisfaction
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform sales strategy and product positioning
Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports
Represent the company at regional industry events, conferences, and trade shows
