This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Deli Assistant.

The ideal candidate will be a skilled multitasker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest standards of quality and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and serve high-quality food offerings in an efficient and cost-effective manner, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to company standards.

2. Support daily kitchen operations, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and chilled products, ensuring seamless service delivery and minimal waste.

3. Practice effective stock management and portion control, maintaining accurate inventory records and minimizing stock loss and waste.

4. Maintain a clean workspace and facilities in compliance with HACCP legislation, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.

5. Deliver exceptional customer service at all times, responding promptly to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.

6. Complete assigned deli checks in line with operational standards, ensuring consistency and quality across all areas of the business.

7. Receive and check stock in accordance with company guidelines, verifying accuracy and completeness of shipments.

8. Store and display products in line with food hygiene and merchandising policies, maintaining visually appealing displays and ensuring optimal product rotation.

9. Rotate stock appropriately to minimize waste, monitoring inventory levels and adjusting purchasing schedules as necessary.

10. Remain vigilant at all times to prevent stock loss and waste, implementing proactive measures to mitigate risks and maintain efficiency.

Requirements:

* Flexibility to work across shifts Monday to Sunday, including evenings and weekends, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to accommodate changing business needs.

* Strong focus on food hygiene, safety, and quality, with a commitment to upholding high standards and promoting a culture of excellence.

* Previous experience in a deli or food service environment is an advantage but not essential, as we provide comprehensive training and support to ensure success in this role.

* Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and suppliers.
