VP - Digital and Technology PGS Network Automation Leader

As the Digital and Technology PGS Network and Automation Leader, you’ll drive innovation across 36 world-class manufacturing facilities and distribution centers, ensuring patients everywhere receive reliable, high-quality medicines.
Responsibilities
* Lead digital, technology, and automation excellence—provide senior leadership and operational support to keep Pfizer’s manufacturing sites at the cutting edge.
* Champion cybersecurity and resilience by heading the Network Operations team, safeguarding operations against emerging threats.
* Collaborate to design and execute 3- to 5-year strategic roadmaps, integrating technologies such as AI, robotics, smart sensors, and augmented reality.
* Unify and optimize automation across the network with a single data model to unlock real-time site insights.
* Drive continuous improvement by aligning digital and automation lifecycle management and portfolio investments to maximize value and reduce outages.
* Proactively identify trends and regulatory shifts, implementing enhancements to stay compliant and competitive.
* Manage a portfolio exceeding $100M and lead a global organization of 300+ colleagues, collaborating with senior executives and plant leaders.
Role Overview
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role focused on leading a global movement for digital and technology excellence across Pfizer’s manufacturing and distribution footprint.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead a global movement: Inspire and guide 300+ Digital and Technology colleagues and external partners to deliver world-class operations across Pfizer’s footprint.
* Be the digital heartbeat of the network: Serve as the single point of contact for PGS Site Leaders, aligning peoples, processes, and technology.
* Champion cybersecurity and resilience: Lead the network’s response to cybersecurity threats and incidents, ensuring business continuity.
* Drive innovation from shop floor to cloud: Optimize the technology stack to unlock new value and competitive advantage.
* Shape compliance and quality: Stay ahead of internal/external audit requirements, ensuring secure and compliant digital operations.
* Empower governance: Prioritize initiatives and lead governance discussions for the Digital Site Network portfolio.
* Mitigate critical issues: Make decisive actions to restore operations during outages.
* Build a culture of excellence: Develop talent and elevate capabilities across the organization.
* Deliver measurable results: Ensure Application Support teams meet RTOs, SLAs, and customer satisfaction targets.
Basic Qualifications
* Breadth of diverse leadership experiences with the ability to influence, coach, and develop others to achieve business impact.
* BA/BS in Information Technology, Manufacturing, or Business Management; advanced degree preferred.
* 20+ years progressive experience leading global organizations.
* Experience with large-scale, complex global operations.
* Digital manufacturing experience and control system automation expertise.
* Broad domain expertise across multiple business functions.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in manufacturing site operations, including the shop floor.
* Global cultural awareness and proven team leadership in a matrix organization.
Physical/Mental Requirements
* Travel between primary work location and PGS sites (up to 50%).
* Ability to participate in GEMBA walks and plant tours.
Non-standard Work Schedule, Travel or Environment
* Role requires meetings/calls outside traditional hours due to the global nature of the organization.
* Up to 50% travel required.

Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary ranges from $280,400 to $467,400. Eligible for Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a target bonus of 30% of base salary and participation in long-term incentive programs. Benefits include 401(k) with company matching, retirement contributions, paid time off, parental/maternity leave, health benefits (medical, dental, vision), and more. Salary ranges may vary by location.
