The applicant must hold a degree in Anatomy or an anatomically related science, and have a research profile and academic record commensurate to their career stage and the responsibilities of the post. Teaching responsibilities will involve supervision of practical classes, management of dissection theatre activities and lecture delivery for BSc and MSc Physiotherapy students. The post will involve liaison with, and the support of module leads in the coordination and preparation of anatomy practical class teaching and assessments to students (primarily Year 1 & 2 BSc Physiotherapy and MSc Physiotherapy students). The successful candidate will be required to undertake teaching related administrative duties and responsibilities as directed by the Head of Discipline. The Discipline teaches practical anatomy primarily through dissected and prosected human donor bodies and vertically integrates anatomical knowledge where possible. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in cadaveric anatomy. Experience in undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching is highly desirable. The post holder must have an excellent command of the English language and good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. The successful candidate will be expected to take up post on 17th August 2026. Please note that Police vetting will be sought in respect of individuals who come under consideration for a post. Post status: 1 Year Fixed-Term Contract The post is not being offered on a permanent basis as it is designated as a training position. The nature of the role is intended as an opportunity to expand ones research portfolio and expertise in Anatomy, to prepare for a career in the Medicine Industry/Academia. As such, the role is not intended for long-term employment beyond the duration of such training. Hours of Post:Hours of work for academic staff are those as prescribed under Public Service Agreements. For further information please following link below: Salary: This appointment will be made on the Teaching Fellow Merged Scale (€43,425 - €55,227) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.monthly/weekly payscales.
