Read on for more details about this particular role.ResponsibilitiesDescription of duties and role responsibilities:The role involves supporting colleagues at MSA Galway to maintain a positive work environment while delivering excellence to our customersOwn safety in the warehouse as an individual & as part of a teamAccept any training required by this role: Warehouse machinery, Manual Handling, etcUnderstanding of departmental KPI'sResponsible for receiving all materials from external vendors as per internal proceduresResponsible for issuing all raw material to the production floor promptly on daily basis as per internal proceduresResponsible for complete & correct movements on SAP and other inventory control systemsCarry out daily cycle counts of raw materials in all warehouse areas and on the manufacturing floor, as created by Materials Supervisor, and investigate discrepanciesResponsible for preparation & checking of all Finished Goods orders for transfer to Shipping as per internal proceduresSupport Production Cells by immediately attending to requirements of those cellsTake part in team huddles ensuring timely updates on safety, inventory and any issues or suggestionsSupport Planning/ Purchasing team requests and communicate issues/ part shortages as they occurComplete all training requirements (both online courses and in house training) in timely manner and completion of any required documentationSupport Plant wide programs including 6S, Recycling, and participate in audits where requestedSupport and participate in Continuous Improvement (CPI) activities within MSA GalwayDrive performance and process improvementsQualificationsEducation / Experience & RequirementsLeaving cert, 3rd level Education is an advantageExperience in a Warehousing or Manufacturing Leadership roleVery strong co-ordination, communication and planning skillsHighly motivated with the ability to work independently & as part of a teamA self- starter with a 'hands on' attitude and the ability to listen, learn & progressAbility to meet deadlinesKnowledge and experience with Microsoft programs including Word and ExcelDesirables:Any machinery driving experienceManual Handling training / awarenessGood working knowledge of SAPMSA is committed to the principles of equal employment opportunity and to providing a workplace that is free from unlawful discrimination.
