Site Engineer - Cork We are currently seeking experienced and talented Site Engineerto join our clients high-performing project team in. The Site Engineer will set out the construction works on site and ensure that all works are completed in line with project drawings specifications and building regulations Responsibilities Assist the Project Manager/Senior Engineer with the day-to-day management of the sites technical and engineering requirements (RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, design team workshops, etc.). Support the Project Manager/Senior Engineer in ensuring that quality control measures on site are implemented in line with the overall BCAR plan for the project. Understand the short-term programme, ensuring that all necessary documents and information are available to enable the project team and subcontractors to complete works in accordance with the schedule. Work with the Project Manager/Contracts Manager to ensure that all works are completed on programme, within budget, and to a high standard. Collaborate with the project team to identify information gaps, develop solutions, and resolve issues in conjunction with the site and design teams in a timely manner. Maintain excellent working relationships with the construction management team, subcontractors, and the wider supply chain. Requirements Third-level qualification in Engineering or a related discipline. Strong knowledge of construction techniques; competent in all aspects of setting out, surveying, and levelling, with an understanding of temporary works coordination. Excellent numeracy, record-keeping, and organisational skills. Good understanding of project planning and programming. Ability to make informed decisions and recognise when to escalate issues. Computer literate and proficient in MS Office, Project, or similar scheduling software.
