MCS Group is partnering with a well-established manufacturing organisation to recruit a Database & Software Development Engineer for their growing technology team on a permanent basis.
This is a broad technical role suited to someone who enjoys working across SQL, ERP systems, automation, integrations, and software development within a hands‑on business environment.
On-site 5 days - County Monaghan/Louth
Role will involve
Supporting and optimising SQL Server environments
Developing SQL scripts, stored procedures, and reports
Supporting and enhancing ERP systems and integrations
Building automation solutions using PowerShell
Developing internal applications and APIs using technologies such as C# and JavaScript
Working closely with operational and business teams across the organisation
What we're looking for
SQL Server administration and development experience
Experience with reporting, query optimisation, and database performance
Some software development experience with C#, VB.NET, Java, or JavaScript
Experience with APIs and systems integrations
Exposure to ERP systems in manufacturing or industrial environments would be highly beneficial
Full Irish Driving Licence & unrestricted right to work (no visa sponsorship is available for this position)
Nice to have
Manufacturing ERP experience
Azure / Azure DevOps exposure
