We are hiring a Strategic Account Manager to join the Splunk Ireland team to manage the Central Government, Healthcare, Local Government and Education Sectors on the island of Ireland.
This will be an individual contributor role working with Governmental organisations to solve big, complex problems using Splunk's big data analytics platform.
This individual will be an open, passionate, innovative person that can lead and manage their team to maximise our customer's success and data maturity.
Responsibilities
Consistently deliver against bold targets with dedication to meeting deadlines and delivering predictable revenue.
Manage your own business portfolio – shape strategy for an exciting sector, conduct long-term account planning, drive complex account mapping, and diligently manage sales opportunities and a myriad of stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal and external partners for maximum efficiency and scale.
Leverage industry-leading, in-house sales engineering resources.
Blend the Splunk sales methodology with your own sales acumen.
Be a problem solver – take customers on their data journey by addressing challenges and providing solutions.
Act as an empathetic corporate citizen – nurture a two-way flow of relevant and timely information.
Work within and mutually support a high-performance team to deliver beyond expectations and ensure efficient use of critical resources.
Guide all activities delivered by your own account team and a broader group of Splunk contributors/supporters.
Qualifications
A demonstrable track record (minimum 3 years) in building, managing, and delivering successful sales results within Ireland/Northern Ireland public sector.
Unquestionable credibility in the Government sector – understand customer difficulties and apply the Splunk value stack to solve problems throughout the sector.
Extensive Strategic Account Management experience (minimum 3 years) and experience leading customers through complex challenges.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, in English.
Outstanding interpersonal presentation skills and a growth mindset – accept that there is something to learn every day and adapt.
Strong executive presence – comfortable engaging with C-Suite both internally and externally.
Experience closing sophisticated, multi-million dollar software licence deals through multithreaded networking and negotiation.
Shrewd understanding of SaaS forecasting.
Ability to handle sales target risk, commit to closing future deals, and forecast accurately.
Thriving in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment with high expectations of all team members.
Able to work independently and remotely while collaborating with other team members and corporate colleagues.
Prepared to travel to visit customers (weekly), work with your sales team (monthly), attend industry events (quarterly), and join company forums (annually).
