Job Description
The AML Specialist will be responsible for delivering AML services to the business. The role requires completion of a workload, with guidance from colleagues and line management, to support all aspects of AML of investors in line with:
* AML Legislation/Regulation & Guidance/Best Practice
* The Investor AML Department's processes and procedures
Main Responsibilities:
1. Manage day-to-day AML Operations for respective clients.
2. Serve as a key subject matter expert in client and investor engagement, liaison with offshore partners and mentor other more junior level employees.
3. Stay current on regulatory rules and changes within the industry.
4. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of AML regulation and best practice and use this knowledge to promote enhancements to AML processes and procedures.
5. Manage and perform special projects as assigned.
6. Participate in meetings with teams, clients and other stakeholders on detailed status updates.
7. Work with colleagues and line management in reviewing investor documentation and efficiently sourcing outstanding investor due diligence documentation (if any) with professionalism and timely escalation of material issues arising.
8. Apply analytical skills to review Investor AML information and determine potential areas of deficiency.
9. This includes performing effective and thorough risk assessments of investor profiles.
10. Actively participate in AML operations quality control review of investor documentation for investors, in adherence with AML policy and procedures.
11. Complete and compile a high-quality summary of findings and recommendations for review in a concise and professional manner.
12. Respond to internal and external inquiries related to Anti Money Laundering requirements for investors with efficiency and professionalism, with support from line management where required.
13. Evaluate and assist with the resolution of more complex problems and critical issues.
14. Collaborate with management to ensure that the Investor AML Operations team meets the required audit, risk and compliance standards as determined, from time to time, in accordance with changes in legislation and guidance.
