Meet the team:
Our Global Shop Floor Systems group is an enterprise team that develops and applies our digital strategy to Dexcom's manufacturing operations. We work with leading edge hardware and software technologies to seamlessly integrate our shop floor systems within the organization to enable optimal operational and business performance.
In this role you will be responsible for manufacturing software systems development, primarily focusing onMES Camstar / Siemens Opcentermanufacturing execution systems. This role operates in a scaled agile framework and in a global manufacturing software system team. You will be required to plan, analyze, implement & maintain efficient and sustainable IT and business system solutions to support manufacturing operations.
Where you come in:
You will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining software features associated with manufacturing process, primarily MES Camstar / Siemens Opcenter & Mendix, supporting multiple manufacturing sites.
You will be responsible for control system and ERP system data integration
You will ensure that software design and development work is completed on schedule and that impacts to manufacturing systems are thoroughly documented and communicated to business users
You will partner with the MES Camstar / Siemens Opcenter support team in providing manufacturing execution systems administration, deployment and maintenance for development, test and production environments including both application tier and database tier across global manufacturing sites
You will modify or build new configurations/workflows in the MES solution to support continuous improvement to manufacturing processes
You will participate in activities required to support production, including but not limited to troubleshooting, investigations, MES Camstar / Siemens Opcenter users support, periodic reviews, root cause analysis, preventive and corrective actions
You will create/review test plans and scripts, conduct testing of the solution to ensure the functional and technical specifications are met
You will have capacity to see the big picture and develop plans with a global mindset
Other duties as assigned, incl. but not limited toproviding periodic 24/7 remote phone support for the systems.
What makes you successful:
5+ years of applied experience in manufacturing and MES technologies, including automated data collection, visualization, quality and efficiency. Integration with other major factory and / or enterprise applications, for example, APS, PLM, ERP, SPC and shop floor manufacturing equipment
3+ years of experience with Siemens Opcenter (Camstar),3+ years of SQL Server experience, experience with Mendix preferred
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 5-8 years related experience or Master's degree and 2-5 years equivalent industry experience or a PhD and 0-2 years experience.
You are knowledgeable with manufacturing and MOM solutions, including automated data collection, visualization, quality and efficiency. Experience with Siemens Camstar MES Ops Center platform and Mendix is preferred.
You are familiar with SDLC and validation & verification procedures (URS, FDS, TDS, FUT, SIT, etc).
You have excellent team-oriented communication and organizational skills.
Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users
You have a hands-on demeanor and are able to troubleshoot software applications.
Experience working in cross-functional teams to drive and influence changes and improvements
