We are Hiring Chief I Respiratory Physiologist for our Hospital client in Dublin.
Job type: Permanent / Full-time Responsibilities Lead and manage the Respiratory Physiology Department on a day-to-day basis Ensure delivery of a high-quality, safe, and efficient respiratory diagnostic service Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and clinical protocols Monitor service performance, KPIs, and patient outcomes Perform and oversee complex respiratory investigations such as spirometry, lung function testing (PFTs), blood gas analysis, and sleep studies (e.g., polysomnography) Interpret results and provide expert clinical reports Support clinical decision-making with respiratory consultants Supervise, mentor, and support respiratory physiologists and junior staff Plan staffing, rostering, and workload allocation Identify training needs and coordinate continuous professional development (CPD) Participate in recruitment, performance reviews, and disciplinary processes Requirements Hold a BSc in Clinical Measurement from Technological University Dublin or Dublin Institute of Technology, or an equivalent Level 8 scientific qualification recognised by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science Alternatively, if qualified in or before ****, hold a Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement (MPPM) from DIT, or an equivalent qualification approved by the IICMP Have a minimum of 5 years' relevant post-qualification experience in both pulmonary and sleep physiology within a recognised clinical laboratory Demonstrate strong clinical expertise in respiratory and sleep diagnostic services Possess the managerial and administrative capability required to effectively fulfil the responsibilities of the role Have experience in managing or contributing to the delivery of a clinical service Demonstrate ability to supervise and support a team of physiologists Have experience overseeing or supporting student clinical placements Show proven ability to develop, implement, and achieve service objectives Exhibit strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills in a clinical setting Benefits Funded educational support.
