About The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Utilities/Infrastructure Engineer with experience in the design, coordination and construction of utilities (electrical, telecommunications, water, gas, foul etc.) ideally in an urban highway setting. You’ll join a team that has an enviable reputation in the Water & Environment consultancy sector as a result of a portfolio of high-profile projects with market leading clients. As part of a global drainage delivery team, you will play a key role in delivering Water/Environmental and transportation drainage design services throughout all stages of project development on multi-disciplinary projects.
BusConnects is a strategic national-level intervention for Ireland that will enhance sustainable transportation and the environment by upgrading walking, cycling and bus infrastructure in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway, and Waterford.

This will include providing programme management and multi-disciplinary expertise over a 10-year programme to deliver 12 schemes comprising 230 kilometres of continuous bus priority corridors and 200 kilometres of cycle paths and improved pedestrian facilities from procurement through to handover of this new infrastructure. The role would suit someone from a civil engineering background with specific experience on highways/roads projects.
We value collaboration and believe that in-person interactions are crucial for both our culture and client delivery. We empower employees with our hybrid working policy, allowing them to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations enabling them to deliver their best work.
Here's what you'll need
* Knowledgeable in the standards and guidelines applicable to utility providers in Ireland
* In-depth experience in utilities technical design (electrical, telecommunications, water, gas, foul etc.)
* Experience liaising with Statutory Providers/Utility Companies and Local Authorities
* Experience leading and directing teams in a digital/BIM environment, co-ordinating utilities with other disciplines
* Experience in linear infrastructure schemes.
* Civil Engineering related degree.
