Technical Specialist Role
The primary objective of this role is to oversee and manage equipment maintenance and repair operations. Ensuring the timeliness and effectiveness of these processes requires liaison with external contractors.
This includes coordinating with production managers, troubleshooting equipment issues, establishing relationships with customers and suppliers for continuous improvement, and facilitating internal meetings to prioritize tasks and assign responsibilities.
Key aspects of the job include maintaining and repairing moulding equipment, automation systems, water heaters, oil heaters, conveyors, and hot runner controllers. Additionally, research and implementation of new processes and systems are crucial, as well as providing training to employees on manufacturing skills and knowledge.
Requirements
* A relevant associate's degree or equivalent qualification is required. A bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred.
* A minimum of three years' experience in troubleshooting manufacturing equipment is essential.
* Proficiency in CMMS and MS Office applications is necessary.
* Certifications in electrical work and PLC programming are advantageous.
As a key member of the team, this individual must be able to lift up to 35 pounds continuously and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
