Field Service Engineer Electro/Mechanical (European Travel) We are partnering with a high-tech equipment manufacturer based in Co.If you would like to know a bit more about this opportunity, or are considering applying, then please read the following job information.Louth, seeking a skilled and highly motivated Field Service Engineer.This role involves extensive travel throughout Europe (up to 50-70%) to provide critical installation, commissioning, maintenance, and technical support for sophisticated industrial machinery at customer sites.This is a dynamic, client-facing role ideal for an engineer who thrives on independent problem-solving and international field operations.Core Responsibilities Installation & Commissioning: Lead the installation, testing, and final commissioning of complex electro-mechanical systems and machine upgrades at customer sites across Europe.Field Service & Diagnostics: Perform preventative maintenance (PPM) and rapid reactive breakdown support.Diagnose and rectify complex faults involving electrical circuits, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and precision mechanical components.Client Support & Training: Provide expert technical training and hands-on guidance to client maintenance teams and operators.Build strong relationships with key European accounts.Documentation & Reporting: Complete accurate service reports, expense claims, and technical feedback documentation promptly.Ensure compliance with all site-specific safety regulations.Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback to the internal R&D and Manufacturing teams to improve product design, reliability, and serviceability.Candidate Profile Qualification: Trade Qualification (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Fitter) or a Degree/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.Experience: 3+ years of experience in a field service, commissioning, or maintenance role, specifically with complex, integrated industrial machinery.Technical Skills: Strong multi-skilled ability, with proven expertise in both electrical fault-finding (PLCs, drives) and mechanical repairs (gearboxes, actuators, hydraulics).Mobility: Must possess a full, clean drivers license and be prepared for extensive international travel across Europe (up to 50% travel commitment).Communication: Excellent interpersonal and professional presentation skills for effective client interaction.Compensation Salary Range: €50,000 €70,000 per annum (Negotiable based on depth of experience and technical expertise).Benefits: Generous travel allowance, per diem for international assignments, fully covered expenses, and contributory pension scheme.Location: Co.Louth, Ireland (Base Location).
