Procurement Director
The director of procurement will be accountable for leading and implementing strategies to serve global and regional business needs in the procurement function.
* Leading negotiations, supplier management activities, and stakeholder engagement activities for the assigned categories
* Working independently to drive value through cost savings, cash flow improvement, and efficiency gains from category management activities
* Representing procurement by participating in organizational decisions with critical short and long-term impact on the organization's success, efficiency, growth, and results
Responsibilities:
* Manage a team of professional employees responsible for performing category management tasks
* Provide coaching and guidance on job performance and career development to direct reports and provide leadership examples
Requirements:
* Knowledge of efficient procurement organizations and processes within industries similar to biopharmaceuticals
* Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams to drive results in procurement categories or related areas through effective sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and supplier relationship management
* Experience working in matrixed global organizations while driving local priorities within a global framework
