ABOUT THE LAND DEVELOPMENT AGENCY The Land Development Agency (LDA) is a commercial, semi-State body that seeks to maximise the supply of affordable homes on public and other land in a financially sustainable manner, supporting the creation of thriving communities and delivering ongoing positive social impact. It is overseen by an independent board of directors and is funded with €5 billion of equity capital committed by the Government. It is also permitted to borrow up to €1.25bn.The LDA has commenced construction on a number of projects on State land and has a delivery pipeline in excess of 17,000 homes. It also works in partnership with the country's largest and most experienced homebuilders and will deliver a further 8,000 homes under the Government's Project Tosaigh initiative.Additionally, the LDA is working on large-scale longer-term strategic areas by master-planning and bringing forward planning applications in locations such as Limerick Colbert Quarter, the Digital Hub in Dublin and Sandy Road in Galway.The Role This is a Senior Finance and Strategic appointment in the LDA to build out is financial planning and analysis capabilities and ensure it has the inhouse skills to handle the financial complexities and growth trajectory of the Agency.A key member of the Finance team, the successful candidate will be collaborative, collegiate and make a strong contribution to the Agency and the LDA in general. Relationship management and excellent communication skills are a prerequisite as the role involves interaction with multiple internal stakeholders.Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will work closely with the Head of Strategy and other members of the Management Committee. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of the LDA journey and contribute to its ongoing delivery and performance.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Financial Planning and Forecasting:Lead the development and maintenance of financial models to forecast future financial performance.Manage the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational goals.Develop rolling forecasts to provide updated financial projections.Financial Analysis & Reporting:Conduct detailed variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.Analyse financial results, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.Support strategic initiatives through financial analysis and modelling.Prepare and present regular financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analysis and executive summaries.Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting in compliance with relevant standards.Strategic Business Partnering:Collaborate with department heads and senior management to understand their financial needs and provide relevant insights.Act as a trusted advisor, helping business units to make informed financial.Participate in cross-functional projects, offering financial expertise and strategic support.Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic planning and decision-making.Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to evaluate the financial impact of various business decisions.Assist in the development of long-term financial plans and strategies.Process Improvement:Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the FP&A function.Leverage financial software and tools to streamline reporting and analysis processes.Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in financial planning and analysis.Qualifications and Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.Professional finance qualification (e.g., CFA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, or a related role, ideally in similar industry.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.Proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting.Advanced knowledge of financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.High level of integrity and professionalism.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.To Apply: The closing date for applications is 5pm on the 31 Dec 2025.The Land Development Agency (LDA) is an equal opportunities employer.
