International Business Resilience Manager
The International Business Resilience Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the organization's operational resilience and business continuity management processes are effective. This varied role will involve coordinating across all entities to ensure regulatory and business needs are met.
Responsibilities
Business Resilience
The role holder is responsible for defining, scheduling, and implementing testing mechanisms to ensure annual compliance with Operational Resilience & DORA regulations. They will work closely with IT, Operations, Facilities, Outsourcing, and Risk teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with Operational Resilience and Business Services.
* Implement a 'lessons learned process' to assess and react to events challenging operational resilience
* Identify changes to standards and processes improving operational resilience
* Coordinate with stakeholders and negotiate changes to agreed levels
The role holder will report to the Board and Executive Committee on a bi-annual basis.
Business Continuity
The International Business Resilience Manager will align Business Continuity Management processes across international entities, ensuring compliance with best practice and legal requirements. They will define, schedule, and implement testing schedules to ensure Business Continuity capabilities are up-to-date.
* Ensure BIAs, BCPs, RIAs, and other BCM documents are maintained and up-to-date
* Implement effective testing and risk management measures to mitigate BC risk
Documentation and Monitoring of Legal Requirements
The role holder will monitor changes to legal and regulatory requirements, including FCA and CBI requirements, and implications of the Digital Operational Resilience Act in the area of Business Resilience. They will coordinate with branches to ensure Business Resilience requirements are met, including MAS Guidelines on BCM.
Making effective use of the RisKonnect risk management system to document and evolve the control landscape surrounding Business Resilience and BCM is also essential.
Skills and Experience Required:
Strong understanding of the control landscape within the insurance business, including Business Continuity Management and Operational Resilience
* Knowledge and understanding of business resilience regulations in locations where business is conducted
* Ability to manage complex process/change initiatives
* Technical experience in test planning and execution
* Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills
