* To conduct security checks at Luas stations, preventing any potential threats or risks.
* To deter criminal activity by actively monitoring the premises, identifying suspicious behavior and taking prompt action as required.

This includes engaging with customers in a professional manner, responding promptly to their queries and providing assistance where needed.
In addition, Authorised Officers are responsible for maintaining order on the service and ensuring that all necessary protocols are followed when dealing with difficult situations. This may involve communicating effectively through verbal de-escalation techniques or using appropriate force if deemed necessary under the circumstances.
