QA Engineer - Hybrid (Dundalk) or Remote (Ireland/UK)
We are seeking a skilled QA Software Tester to join a growing software company. This is a full-time permanent role offering hybrid working (3 days a week onsite in Dundalk) or the option to work fully remote from anywhere in Ireland or the UK.
About the Role
As a QA Software Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through a mix of manual and automated testing. You'll work closely with developers and product owners to assess requirements, design test plans, and identify issues before release.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design, develop and execute test plans and test cases based on project requirements.
2. Perform functional, regression and integration testing.
3. Identify, document, and track bugs, ensuring they are resolved prior to release.
4. Collaborate with development and product teams to provide feedback on design and implementation.
5. Automate repetitive testing tasks where appropriate.
6. Analyse test results and produce detailed reports.
7. Maintain testing documentation including test scripts and user manuals.
8. Continuously improve testing processes and standards.
Required Skills & Experience
9. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
10. 2-3 years' experience in software testing or quality assurance.
11. Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
12. Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing techniques.
13. Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
14. High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Desirable (but not essential)
15. Knowledge of SQL for database querying.
16. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
17. ISTQB or similar software testing certification.
18. Familiarity with ERP systems.
