Job Overview:
* Support the full lifecycle of construction procurement programmes from inception to completion.
* Partner with the project team to develop and agree on a procurement strategy for all construction packages and ensure alignment with the programme schedule.
* Develop impactful commercial presentations and communications for contractors throughout the pre-and-post contract phases.
* Review and evaluate proposals, providing recommendations to the project team.
* Support the negotiation of pricing for work packages, analysing information and implementing strategies to ensure value for money.
* Be an expert in owner's bespoke form of contract and method of measurement.
* Manage and ensure contract alignment for contractors and project team performance.
* Ensure effective coordination of incoming and outgoing contract notices.
* Oversee the timely execution of contract releases, payment applications and change order management.
* Assist in the negotiation and settlement of construction disputes/loss and expense claims.
* Review cost saving proposals and identify affected components of the compensation strategy and implications on contract.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience working with various construction contracting strategies in a similar role.
* Experience in unit rate construction pricing and management contracting methodologies.
* Strong analytical skills to investigate and interpret complex data.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to build strong relationships with the team and clients through a shared purpose and sense of openness and fun.
