**The core focus of the role involves coordination, continuous improvement, and management of specific onsite EHS programs, with close collaboration with Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Environmental Engineers.
You will also support the overall EHS management system and ISO *****/ISO ***** standards.Responsibilities* Coordinate and support site Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs such as: + Hearing conservation + Working at heights + Personal protective equipment (PPE)* Conduct risk assessments to identify workplace hazards and recommend mitigation actions.
* Support surveys and assessments associated with the Equipment Sign-Off (ESO) program.
* Act as a subject matter resource for assigned EHS programs.
* Assist in accident and incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
* Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal EHS standards.
* Support the implementation and maintenance of EHS management systems aligned with ISO ***** and ISO *****.* Analyze EHS data, identify trends, and help define key focus areas for continuous improvement.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Environmental Engineering.
* Responsible for the development, co-ordination, continuous improvement and management of site environmental programmes, in particular wastewater, and potentially support other programmes such as air emissions, noise, refrigerants, groundwater and management systems as required.
Play a key role in ensuring compliance with the site's Industrial Emissions Licence - this includes review of compliance results/trends, Env Mgt System elements including awareness/training, documentation, Environmental Management Programme projects etc.
## **Qualifications:****Minimum Qualifications*** NFQ Level 8 qualification in a core EHS discipline, **or*** A third-level qualification in science, chemical engineering, process engineering, or a related field, **plus*** Completion of a postgraduate diploma or MSc in an EHS discipline.
**Preferred Qualifications*** 1–2 years of relevant industrial experience in a similar EHS role.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders on safety topics.
* Ability to work effectively within a team environment with minimal supervision.
* Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong sense of initiative.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Practical experience with EHS management systems and the ability to present and explain EHS data to both technical and non-technical audiences.
