Accounts Assistant (Part time role)required by busy accountancy practice based in the centre of Waterford City. Reporting to the Partners, the overall purpose of this role is to be responsible for processing the payroll, VAT, PAYE and other ensuring accurate bookkeeping service to each of the clients worked on. The Key responsibilities will be the following:- Processing client payrolls weekly using Micropay and Big Red Book Administration of auto enrolment pensions for clients Responsible for processing PAYE, PRSI Returns Calculating and submitting VAT returns for clients Administration of RCT for Construction related clients Posting invoices and performing reconciliations. The ideal Candidate Ideally hold Accounting Technician or book keeping qualification. At least 2-3 years payroll and accounts experience within a practice or industry Payroll experience with use of payroll systems essential Use of Sage a distinct advantage Strong attention to detail is essential and non-negotiable to perform this role well. Excellent communication skills, fluency in English, both oral and written in dealing with clients and suppliers This person needs to be highly organised and self-motivated. Role will be 5 mornings per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 1pm Skills: Payroll Accounts Bookkeeping
