In turn, this will see both companies extend their capabilities across larger scale projects and to a wider breadth of clients. Overview
We are seeking a QA Lead who is passionate about leading quality and helping customers achieve more with their technology investment. As part of our App Innovation consultancy, we aim to help our customers of all sizes build and innovate on their digital solutions. This role will report directly to the practice team and will work closely with other customers, team leads, technical consultants, resource managers and developers across the business to ensure practice goals and objectives are met.
Performance Priorities and Key Areas of Role Focus
* Define, implement, and manage QA strategy, processes, and standards across projects.
* Lead and mentor a QA team, providing technical guidance and oversight.
* Develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual test scripts.
* Configure and manage test plans, pipelines, and reporting within Azure DevOps.
* Ensure traceability of requirements, defects, and test coverage through Azure DevOps Boards/Test Plans.
* Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor product quality and testing effectiveness.
* Drive continuous improvement in QA practices, including automation, performance, and security testing.
* Act as the escalation point for all QA-related matters.
Technical Requirements of the Successful Candidate
* Strong background as a QA Lead / Test Manager in enterprise-scale projects.
* Advanced proficiency in Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, Pipelines, Test Plans).
* Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, SpecFlow). Ideally Playwright.
* Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
* Knowledge of software testing methodologies (functional, regression, performance, UAT).
* Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
Additional skills
* ISTQB / similar testing certification.
* Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
* Exposure to cloud-based test environments (Azure).
* Familiarity with security and compliance testing.
* Knowledge of containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices testing.
