This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and play a critical role in supporting business continuity and digital transformation initiativesRoles & Responsibilities:Handled large database estates and managed TB size of databasesInstallation and administration of multiple versions of databases on multiple Unix platforms and Windows serversDesign and implement the high availability solutions (RAC, Golden Gate and Dataguard)Install, configure and manage ASM instances in oraclePlan and execute major migrations and upgradesDefine and configure the disk and diskgroups in ASM and troubleshootManage and administer the databases on Exadata machinePlan the database upgrade, migration and patchingPlan and implement the backup/recovery on need basisDatabase refresh, re-org, backup using RMAN and 3rd party toolsInstall and configure grid control database monitoring toolsInstall, Administer, manage and troubleshoot Oracle grid controlDefine performance benchmarks and metricsPeriodic database instance performance review and tuning recommendationProactive database analysis and suggestion to application team / businessWrite and troubleshoot shell scripting, SQL and PL/SQL scriptsPrimarily role is supporting the production and non-prod database environmentsEnsure the reduction of repeated errors through implementation of necessary checkpointsContribute towards evaluation of tools, products and software selectionSLA tracking and reporting to Higher management.
