Overview
Trainee Laboratory Technician. This is an entry-level role designed for someone with a strong interest in science and practical work, but who may not yet have formal laboratory experience. Full training will be provided in-house, with the opportunity to pursue further formal education and professional development as your career progresses.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in day-to-day laboratory operations, including sample preparation, testing, and record-keeping.
* Learn and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) under supervision.
* Carry out basic laboratory analyses using a variety of lab equipment.
* Maintain laboratory cleanliness, stock consumables, and ensure equipment is in good working order.
* Support senior staff with experimental trials and routine testing.
* Accurately document results and contribute to quality control systems.
* Follow health, safety, and environmental standards at all times.
Training & Development
* Comprehensive in-house training will be provided to build technical and laboratory skills.
* Exposure to a range of laboratory techniques and analytical equipment.

Candidate Profile
Essential:
* Strong interest in science, laboratory work, or materials testing.
* Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.

* Leaving Certificate (or equivalent) completed.
Desirable (but not required):
* Prior lab, technical, or quality control experience (educational or work-based).
* Familiarity with safe handling of chemicals or lab equipment.
