This design‑led role is suited to an experienced E&I Engineer with strong fire systems knowledge, compliance awareness, and structured documentation skills. Projects are typically delivered within regulated environments where safety, compliance, and documentation quality are critical.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & EngineeringDesign fire detection and fire alarm systems in compliance with I.S. 3218:2024, EN standards, and client requirementsProduce and maintain engineering documentation including:System layouts and architecturesWiring diagrams and schematicsCable schedules, I/O lists, and instrument indexesCause & Effect matrices and system narrativesSupport integration with gas detection, suppression systems, BMS, and related control systemsReview tender documents, specifications, and design criteria to develop compliant and buildable solutionsResolve technical and interface challenges using sound engineering judgementProject & Technical SupportProvide technical support to Project Managers, commissioning teams, site engineers, and vendorsSupport FAT, SAT, commissioning, and compliance activitiesRespond to RFIs and technical queries during project executionParticipate in client and internal design reviewsSupport change control and design revisions throughout projectsDocumentation & CompliancePrepare and review engineering documentation including RAMS, risk assessments, commissioning packs, and as‑built drawingsCompile O&M manuals and final handover documentationEnsure compliance with regulatory, client, and internal quality standardsMaintain strong document control and traceability throughout the project lifecycleRequired Experience & QualificationsEssentialDegree, trade qualification, or equivalent experience in Electrical, Instrumentation, or E&I EngineeringExperience designing industrial equipment, ideally fire alarm & fire detection systemsStrong knowledge of I.S. 3218:2024 and related standardsExperience producing structured engineering documentationStrong communication skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teamsDesirableExperience within pharmaceutical, life sciences, semiconductor, or high‑tech manufacturing sectorsKnowledge of VESDA, suppression systems, gas detection, or integrated life safety systemsFamiliarity with BMS, PLCs, or regulated project environmentsKey CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem‑solving capabilityMethodical and detail‑oriented approachAbility to manage multiple design packages simultaneouslyProfessional communication skills with clients and internal teamsStrong understanding of compliance, safety, and regulated environmentsThe EnvironmentHybrid working model with 2‑3 days from homeExposure to complex industrial life safety projectsStructured engineering environment with strong technical governanceOngoing professional development and standards‑based trainingOpportunity to work alongside a highly experienced engineering team
