Job Description
thl-uk-and-ireland-limited is the country's largest motorhome company with a reputation for delivering top quality vehicles for hire and sale. We are looking for a dynamic and hands-on individual who will support our existing workshop team with rental repairs and replacement of panels through to general fixes of lights and internal and external fittings to an exacting standard.
This role offers the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment whilst learning a new trade, ideal for those seeking their first step into a workshop/Bodyshop position within the Automotive Industry.
The successful candidate will gain skill and experience with a reputable Specialist Workshop. Key areas of training include:
* Removal and re-fitting of body panels including bumpers, side skirts and mouldings.
* Preparing panels ready to be painted.
* Carrying out plastic welding repairs ready for paint.
* Repairing damaged bodywork, dents etc.
* Stripping and fitting trim and interior panels.
* Habitation fittings inspection and repair.
* Gas safety.
Person Specification
We seek a passionate individual with a genuine interest in motor vehicles/motorhomes. Duties will include assisting Technicians, general upkeep of the workshop, and providing excellent customer service.
* A full and clean driving license is required.
* Ability to plan your workload effectively to ensure vehicles are ready to agreed timescales.
* Work skillfully and safely under pressure.
* Carry out work in accordance with manufacturers specification.
* Work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative with minimal supervision.
* Be engaging, enthusiastic, sociable and self-motivated.
Key Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to changing situations.
