Mechanical Shift Technician – Energy Centre, Clondalkin
Location: Clondalkin, Dublin
Contract: Permanent
Shift Pattern: Rotating 12.25-hour day and night shifts
About the Role
Our client, a major operator of large-scale energy and utilities infrastructure, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Shift Technician to support a high-availability energy centre. This role plays a critical part in maintaining uptime across complex mechanical systems in a 24/7 environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Shift coordination and handover leadership
* Acting as primary liaison for service providers
* Troubleshooting and root cause analysis of plant failures
* Planned, predictive, and corrective maintenance
* CMMS (Pemac) utilisation and PM optimisation
* SOP and job plan development
* Supporting safety and compliance standards
* Leadership during service outages and emergency response
* Mentoring junior technicians
* Supporting capital projects and commissioning
Required Skills & Experience
* Craft-qualified Mechanical Technician
* Experience in energy conversion and distribution
* Strong analytical and reliability mindset
* Lean / Six Sigma experience advantageous
